Kandeel, is a typical Olddutch liquor, made from the best part of the egg with original brandewijn and herbs. Such as cloves, cinnamon, nutmut. It was given to women that just gave birth, in order to strengthen her. But soon also the guests started to sip it, because it was extraordinairy delicious. Kandeel became very popular.
Kandeel may be kept for a very long time, as long as you keep the bottle in the dark. Because the product is pure nature, the colour may fade to white.
